Dog Has Disturbed Sleep

My 2 and 1/2 year old greyhound constantly twitches and barks while she is sleeping is there something that is causing this or is it normal? (Kendal - Georgia)

It is not unusual at all for dogs to be fairly lively while asleep. Every dog owner is familiar with the noises, twitching and occasionally even waving of paws which accompanies their sleep sometimes.
