Why
does my cat lick my hand or arm when I'm
petting her? (Daniel McGonigle,
Wilmington, Delaware)
Your
cat licking you is a very common behavior, as it is in dogs. This can be for the
salty taste that all parts of the human body exude because of sweat glands. More
commonly, however, it is a sign of affection. Another sign of affection is very
gentle biting on your hands or face.
