Stopping A Budgie From Pecking You

Tools: Email Bookmark Comment

My budgie won't stop pecking me (very hard) whenever I go near her. (Ben Smith - United Kingdom)

Try giving her small treats every time she comes near your hand, either from your fingers or cradled in the palm of your hand.

After several weeks you could try only giving her a treat when she doesn't bite you. This is a difficult problem which you may not be able to solve.
