I would not buy this for heavy traffic or the locking mechanism. My cat and dog are not shy about using it, but it sometimes becomes difficult for them to push open. The little catch can make it difficult to open. We use it with the RV.

very flimsy, leaves about 3/4 inch gap open between the 2 halves of the door, the flapper does not travel freely and routinely get gets stuck, I had to sand down the the locking mechanism to get the door to work properly. for 5 bucks it does the job but i will probably be replacing this door with a better quality one in the future.

Nice door system, with simple turn dial for locking the door at various settings, The hard wear is too cheap, Thats the screw that has fine threads,The head of the screw strips after the first use with the appropriate size Philips head screw driver, I had to replace two of them as one crew was already striped in the package. Also my box never came with instructions but the door system is quite explanatory after you just think about a bit.

The red lock turns and locked out our cat. We had to do some adjustments-shaving down the plastic here and there after it was installed to ease the opening and closing. I say it's good quality only because they are all made this way

I hate that I have to give this product any stars. It deserves zero stars. In fact, it deserves negative stars. Don't buy this. It is an absolute piece of crap. The knob that locks the door or causes it to work one way adjusts by itself, so you risk locking your pet in or out of wherever you are trying to give them access to. The strip around the door also gets in the way of it opening and closing easily. This could also be more resistance than your pet is willing to deal with to enter or exit through it. And the magnet that is supposed to hold it closed is just a small magnet stuffed into a space in the plastic. Open the door and it will pull the magnet right out. You have to glue that in there in order to make it stay. This is just a total piece of junk. The kind of thing I would expect to see for a dollar at a thrift store. Do not purchase it. It is total garbage. Spend the money on a better door. There is a reason they cost so much. I bought this just so my outdoor cat could get in and out of my shed in the winter, but I'm not going to use it. I'm going to buy a better one that I know is going to be easy for her to use.Read full review
