I looked for a long time before I ordered this. But was so disappointed that it was way to small. I believe it stated for dogs up to 22lbs and NO WAY will my Bichon fit in it. (My dog is 17 lbs) I have been hunting for one larger but can not find one. The quality and value are fine. My dog has health issues and thought this would fit her issues for car rides and being at other people houses. As I said it is too small. I wish it would be taller and alittle wider then I would order one immediately.... If my dog would be a tiny one this would have worked out just fine. I don't have issues with this other than size.

Materials are fair. Item is pretty. Design is awful. Unlike the Sherpa carriers, which puts the straps supporting BOTH sides of either end, this article has one strap which emerges from the middle of each side. When you lift the carrier with the pet inside, the carrier collapses on your pet. I am returning either one or both of them. If a product is 1/3 to 1/4 the price of the average comparable article, then there is a reason! Wish this worked. I have to put off my cat's visits to the vet until I can replace them...

I got a large based on other reviews about getting a large size. My dog is only 7 pounds and she fits perfectly in it. I have no idea how a 40 pound dog would fit. It has a nasty “new” smell so you’ll have to air it out before using it. Other than that it’s just what I need!
