Have bought 2 of these heaters in the last year. A 50watt and 150 watt. Like any heater you need to adjust them a bit to get your correct temp. This also depends on size and room temp. Always get 50 watts more then you need. It will work less and last longer and you can always use it on a bigger tank later. Never leave your heater on when cleaning or doing waters changes. I see a lot of people saying they have had problems. I have been an aquarist over 40 years you dont need top dollar products to take proper care of your aquarium. You just need better knowledge. For the money this product does very well if used correctly.
