It was a bit of a hassle to crush the huge pill up, but my cats seemed to not notice it was in their food when I did crush it up and add it. It's a relief because they can normally detect anything "abnormal" in their food. I do wish I could just give them a pill without the need to mix it in their food, but until they come up with a smaller one this is much better than the sticky paste that gets all over them and my carpet. I am not sure of the results quite yet. I'll know better after a bit of time if I see fewer coughed up furballs :)

It may be that it is winter, but so far this has been the best hairball remedy I have ever used. I use a mortar and pestle to finely crush the pill. I then add it to a fourth of a jar of baby food. Of course, my cats love that! (I separate the rest of the new jar into three cleaned jars, put two in the freezer and one in frig. When I take the one out of the frig, I replace it with one from the freezer. Repeating that pattern with each new jar.) It is a morning ritual. Maybe in summer I will need to resort to twice a day, but for now, once a day is working wonders!

It may work for many cats, not mine. I ground the tablet with a mortar & pestle and mixed it with his wet food. He would not eat his food. Having had Monkey for more than 10 years I know his likes and dislikes better than my own. I will try just 1/2 tablet and see what happens. Wish me luck.

First, my cats loves it and eat it quickly whenever I give them some. I always break each tablet into quarters to make them more bite-sized, but I doubt that is actually necessary. Second, when they do take this regularly, they seem to have fewer issues with hairballs - the hair passes easily and they do not seem to need to work at throwing up masses as much. Note one cat is a long hair tortoise shell and one is a short hair black house-panther. The black seems to shed more noticeably -- everywhere. The tourti keeps her shedding to a small area where she grooms Both cats have excellent coats, with healthy skin and a noticeable sheen.

Our cats think it is a big treat and it is very very healthy for them. Only small problem is that it is big and hard to break up so they can eat it. But, still worth it!
