The ammonia levels in my city tap water was to high to support aquatic life and after three weeks of trying many different chemicals and filters, I read online about Seachem Prime Water Conditioner, I bought a bottle of it from eBay and three days after adding it to my aquarium I put fish in the aquarium and they are still alive and having fun just over a week after coming to their new home! I was led to believe that I was buying Two (2) 500ML bottles of this product and by the writing on the bottles it states "Provides Slime Coat" which it does Not which means this is OLD product. Also I bought it so that I could place One 500ml bottle in my front yard with my 300 gallon KOI Tank and the other 500ml bottle in my back yard with my 100 gallon Oranda tank. What I received instead was ONE large 33oz. bottle which now has to be carried back and forth between the two halves of my property.

If you got the live fish thru online or local LFS, the fish must be stressed out during the trip to your home. And this product is the first thing you want to use on the fish. Acclimation suppose to take time, yet you want to get rid of the water contaminated by fish itself. Prime will solve that issue. Just add few drops of it in the bag which you carry the fish. You will see mortality rate of new fish is dramatically decline.

When you go to a pet store and you see smaller containers of prime for $20 you know it's time to go online :) this is a great product for a great price and also since I have purigin that I have to recharge on occasion having a lot means I don't have to worry about getting more anytime soon.
