A good mix of styles, moving on from the more folky earlier albums towards the pop albums he moved on to producing.

"Beard of Stars".. was the last LP under the name of Tyrannosaurus Rex, and Bolans first experiment with electric guitars. "T-Rex".. is the first LP under the new band name of T-Rex, and Bolan's second LP featuring electric guitars, it's also Mickey Finn's debut, replacing Steve Peregrine Took, Finn is standing next to Bolan in the pic. You you can see where Bolan is going, and all the numbers on this self titled LP," Bolans 5th" are great. This is a must have and little known Bolan statement. The cover of this LP was the B side art on the Electric Warrior LP , T-Rex's second release.. All this was when vinyl was the latest and only technology, giving the ability to sit and listen for more than 3 minutes before you had to turn over the disc. This is a great album, and you won't be disappointed. The price for this is below the average price for an album which is , expanded, digitally remastered, and scarce.---Scarce because it's not very well known, and didn't get good reviews at the time because Bolan went electric, alienating all the sit in a circle, suck on a mushroom and chant types, that saw the electric guitar as a betrayal, and thought he should have stayed acoustic, overlooking the electric bass on "Unicorn"-- (Trynno-Rex) ???>?>??????!!!!! "No i didn't get it either" Read full review
