I actually have an MB-4. I am not sure of the difference between MB-4 and MB-4S; however, I would NEVER recommend buying one due to my experience with my MB-4. I have had it for over 10 years. I had it serviced regularly until the business that owned the local Janome dealership went out of business. I have had it repaired several times in the past 10 years also. My biggest problem with it is lack of dependability. It often skips stitches, and I have made adjustment after adjustment. It works fine for a while, and then it doesn't work fine. Projects that should take ten minutes may take 30, or never be completed at all due to ruined materials. I have had a Babylock now for nearly a year. I have NEVER had any problems with it at all.

There is a power shortage in the machine. It did not turn on. I gavevit a tap and made sure the power cord was in properly and it came on. I turned it off and it did the same thing the next day. paid too much for this to happen.
