I live in the Atlanta suburbs where everything in 20-30 miles away. If I want to find a store in another area of town it's very simple to do. I immediately changed the voice from female to male. My son, who is now in Eastern Europe, was checking all of the languages at Christmas. I absolutely detest the Aussie and British accents where DR (drive) is called doctor. Yes, you have a choice of languages and maps of countries to download. I haven't tried the MP3 player yet as I have no idea how to use it. My husband will program all my favorites into it someday. My first experience was traveling with my husband (with his lesser GPS, which he has used for two years) before the holidays up the East Coast. It was wonderful and I just had to have my own. It's like computers and cell phones, how on earth did we live without them? Where is the nearest Krispy Kreme? So easy to use even a woman can do it. You always know where you are. Don't leave home without it! I checked prices at many stores, club stores, online and, of course, ebay was the best and I got a great deal through my seller on ebay. Received in three days. If my car breaks down I can use my cell phone to tell someone exactly where I am looking at my Garmin nuvi 750 Car GPS Receiver. It makes me feel safe. Oh, and it stores favorite locations, recent locations and has many more features that I haven't used yet. I love it.Read full review
Purchased for business, this replaced a two year old Garmin 250W. I hoped for and expected a unit with more options and greater routing options and destination accuracy. The 750 is batting .500. Its additional features are welcome, with some exceptions. Why, for example would someone want to put their pictures on a GPS unit? And an FM tuner? Thought that's why I had a radio in my car. I haven't yet personally experienced greater accuracy as it has already lead me out into the boondocks and left me in the middle of no where - on a street that is not even close to my destination (same county though) Ditto on the detour option - not much better than the 250W. I don't mean to make this sound like a bad buy - it is not. I am pleased but not totally satisfied. Maybe my expectations are just too high.Read full review
needed another gps with mp3 player, this one will play music off the sd card threw the radio just by a frequency, without wires and navigate with the mp3 playing, no wires don't need to bring the ipod when I have this with me. Only down fall no manual to explain how to use alot of the features that this can do.But this thing is great can't beat the price, and would buy the same model again. I also use this for my motorcycle, but have noticed that the sun blinds the screen more so than the garmin street pilot c550 model that I have. But there must be a way around that. Ive had the item for only two weeks.
Item works well right out of the box. Has a bit of a learning curve. Seriously need to stop or have passenger make any major searches or adjustment as the opening screen states. Window or dashboard suction system is fairly reliable but I will buy a friction system to prevent unplanned dashboard departures. In large metro areas where radio stations are close packed the FM transmitter will probably be useless. Here in the mid-west it works well outside of most major cities. Just what I wanted to be able to play music and get directions in any vehicle I am driving. Doesn't always choose the "Best" route but it does get you there and has gotten me back to my "path" when I have gone on back-road adventures. Maps seem to be very complete... I'll know more after this weekend. Well made solid product. Well worth the investment.Read full review
