After upgrading my Verizon DSL service from 3mbs to 5-7mbs, my up-to-then very reliable 2wire 2701bg began dropping out every other time I changed websites in my Safari browser. On doing research I decided to try the Actiontec 784WN-01. I bought and installed it yesterday. Setup through ethernet cable on the first Mac was easy, but WiFi network setup was more difficult. Verizon/Mac tech talked me through it and my home network now seems to be working as advertised. The Best Buy website does not list this model as available either online or in the store. Yet, I found two on the shelf at the Baltimore store yesterday.
It was a satisfying product i had absolutely no problems in setting up or using the Actiontec GT704WGB 54 Mbps 4-Port 10/100 Wireless G Router very easy to use and instal the software.
