This Die Grinder doesn't exempt 1/4 bits!!!! However, use a 1/4 metal carbine bur to modify the "crimping portion piece" of the chunk. Take your time and bore it out about 3/4 of the way down. Then, you can use a 1/4 bit. For some reason, you need the tool to be larger then 1/4 in order to hold a 1/4 bit. (Sarcasm) I like the grinder overall.

poorly made power tool, heated up to the point I could not hold it with bare hands after twenty minutes of use. No power, tool bogs down with very little pressure, can stop rotation completely with little effort. If your looking for a quality tool don't waste your money on this piece of junk, spend a few more dollars and buy a good tool that will do the job

Chuck is not a true 1/4 inch so it will have to be replaced with one from another metric sized unit with the correct 1/4 inch diameter. Otherwise works well and reasonable quality for the price. Not sure on the life of the unit as I have only used it for an hour or so.

The true power die grinder is a great power tool quality wise and usefulness. I personally use the one I bought for heavy metal jobs requiring long periods of time to complete the job, such as porting out engine cylinder heads ,metal fabricating, automotive related jobs. The main benefit of this power tool is you don"t have to work the heck out of or listen to the air compressor constantly, while the job is getting done! !

Bought to do cylinder port work and so far it doesnt disappoint. Variable speed controll works and has plenty of power to do the job. The only minor down side is when holding end effector for more stability can get pretty warm but a pair of mechanics gloves solves that issue.
