I got this for the impending 4th of July onslaught - my dog does get very nervous and shake/pant during thunderstorms. It did not completely calm him but it did enough he fell asleep with fireworks still going. It gets pretty bad the week before and after- even my un-phasable cats get annoyed, I followed the instructions and eased him into wearing it a little more each time so when the time came he was used to it and wore it all night if needed. He is 17 lbs - it fits great!
