It is simply a stereo amp with RCA type connectors, no hdmi, no surround. I bought it for my tv, which it does great, but connected to my old Advent speakers and it sounds great, good power and extremely clean sound. But if simple fits your needs and the price is really good, this is the one, I highly recommend it.

Pyle used to be a good name, now its a pile of garbage. Typical chinessium. Power output is Not 120 watts, maybe 40 at best. Left channel randomly drops out, only comes back if you smack it on the top of the unit, i suspect its a cold solder joint. I would take it apart and fix it if the sound quality was as good or better than a mid 80's recycled Ma Bell rotary phone, but it's not. Dont waste your money.

I like to create music on my computer using my Finale program. For ages, I have been utilizing headphones. They are gamer headphones, rather high quality, too. I found that the finished item that I send to others isn't exactly what I am hearing through my headphones. I purchased this amp with a pair of PDWR40B speakers. The combination is rather good, together. Not the highest of quality, but very serviceable. I am giving it a rating of 5 stars, for both the speakers and the amp, because of the actual sound quality. I would recommend this item, however, it would appear that production has ceased. Sad, I really like this amp. It would seem that Pyle still makes said speakers. This product review offers photos that I could add. I would rather have added a clip of a movie I just shot with my computer and audio mixed. It's rather good. Read full review

It's small but packs the punch of power I need. I can connect the various inputs I have to it and get a clearer reference playback I need in my home studio.

Anyone else who calls it garbage just got a lemon or something....this receiver is great. I find zero issues with the "spring-lock" style speaker connections or any negative issues at all. It has well enough Power...I mean it punches out the walls with a good pair of speakers. I/m running 4 12" 3-way cabinet speakers, vintage 8 ohm I think Fisher and Sound Design....and they really crank ! Gotta remember, One of the very best sound reproductions comes from a CD ( after an LP of course ) ....yep, a CD. MP3's work well too but lack the sound reproduction as do all the other digital methods, SD cards, I phones and the like. I am running mine thru my Equalizer and the Kenwood 5 CD changer/Player I have....I am floored by the sound. If you run it thru an EQ just be sure to set your "bass & treble" to Flat, in the middle.Let the EQ do the work. Saves your receiver from overloading.... Man, don't pass on this...But BUY IT NEW ! Watch for "New ( Other)" and avoid those entirely. Unless it was truly just an open box...but go with new to be sure. If you Love great sound and a good punch then this might be for you :) Just have something to hold on to when you crank it up !Read full review
