If you are in the market for a new yarn swift I highly recommend this one. I have a wooden umbrella swift but at times I struggle with it due to my short height. So I purchased this Amish-style yarn swift since it sits on a table top. I really love this swift. I have a lot of wool and cotton to wind into cakes and this yarn swift makes it so very easy to do.

This lovely wooden swift is easy to set up with no hardware, no clamping, it just all fits together! Sets up in less than a minute and you're ready to go, just add your ball winder. It works smoothly which is very pleasant, no hanging up. I've been wanting this style for a long time and I am so glad I finally took the plunge!

I am a new knitter and saw the commercial winders that are available, but thought I would like a vintage wooden one if I could find it. Then, I saw this and finally used it and I am so pleased with it! It swirls effortlessly and the various skeins I used all fit nicely on the the pegs. Well thought out and implemented design!

We bought this to make it easier for us to sell lengths of elastic without it getting tangled up. It works great, but it would be better if there was a way to keep the center (vertical) peg from riding up as it spins around. One feature we really like is that it is possible to measure as we spin by moving the pegs into different diameters. Very handy!
