I have been using these replacement carburetors in several lawn mowers for almost 3 years without any problem. They install, fit and work perfectly. I bought one to try in a mower that hadn't been used for 7 or 8 years. I first changed the oil in the mower, took the old carburetor off, installed the new carburetor, a new short rubber fuel line hose, new air filter and spark plug and it's been running flawlessly ever since..... saving a ton of money over going to the repair shop to fix such an old mower or buying a new mower. I think it cost me less than $30 total to fix it all myself. I'm sure the local mower shop would have charged several hundred to do the repairs or maybe even tried to sell me a new mower... Repair shops may tell you not to buy these carbs or try discouraging you from fixing it yourself, (because they want your money) but don't be afraid to give one a try.. I saved a ton of money, and haven't noticed any difference in the running of my mowers. No tuning was required. Simple, simple, simple!! Using a few basic hand tools and sockets,... With no prior knowledge of repairing lawn mowers, I was able to do it without any problem. If you know how to use a wrench, socket or pliers ... you can do it. I changed my second carb in only a few minutes. I've even fixed my neighbors rough running mower. Don't be afraid, just take a few photos of where everything goes before you start the repair, maybe watch a few YouTube videos on lawn mower repair and you'll see how easy it is. You'll love the cost savings.... And the satisfaction you'll get from repairing it yourself is priceless!Read full review

I bought this to replace a carburetor on a Tecumseh LEV115 engine. The outside of the carburetor looks like an exact match, and mounts perfectly. The casting on the inside of the carburetor is incorrect, and allows fuel to bypass the float needle, and fill the crankcase with fuel. Tried different float and needle, but the point of exit for the fuel is 3mm below the needle seat. Cheap Chinese knockoff

As other reviewers stated, it bolted on and runs better than I remember the original ever running. For the price, I'd buy this again and again. The part # reference was spot on for this item. Took a short time to install (10 - 15 mins) and all matched up with the original one. A couple pushes of the primer to get gas to it and varoom. Now I only have to push prime 2 - 3 times to get it cranked. A win win situation.

In spite of efforts to start my Craftsman mower of thirteen years, nothing helped until I read a note someone posted about getting a new carb because of plugged jets...in searching for the part, prices ranged in the $50+ until I noted this supplier for about $13. Ordered it, got it promptly, removed the twelve screws/bolts to get the old carb off, replaced it with the new, identical one and with two pulls of the starting cord it fired up and ran like "old days". Very pleased.

Works good. Starts fine but engine stalls after a few seconds. Start it a second time (starts fine) and it stays running. This is very consistent. I suspect it is a function of this type of carb that does not have a real choke function. Otherwise works great and should serve the life of this mower.
