Perfect for fine and thin hair. Easy to use but if your dog has thicker hair (like a beagle) the comb may be to fine and the hair wont filter through the comb as easy. The comb is high quality and I highly recommend it.

Both my dogs have short hair this comb doesn't work well on them. The double teeth on short hair is hard to get to work on short hair can't fleas easy. It is made nice might work on pet with medium or long hair

I have a rescue cat. Something awful must have happened to him at sometime because he will lay down with his face to the wall a lot. He is getting better but there is no better review for this item then telling you that the very sight of this comb ALWAYS pulls him out of his depressed state. He gets up and walks to this comb while purring and kisses me over and over when I use it. We had another one last year that we had to use for flea season and it worked great. I lost it for a few days but ordered another immediately. I didn't want him to go too long without his beloved "therapy."
