This is the same as Panacur (fenbendazole at a concentration of 22.2% (222mgm/gm)). 1gm per 10lbs pet weight/day. which is an excellent broad spectrum de-wormer that can be used against gastrointestinal parasites including: giardia, roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, the Taenia genus of tapeworms (but not effective against Dipylidium caninum), pinworms, aelurostrongylus, paragonimiasis, strongyles and strongyloides. Used in many animals it is used frequently used off-label in treating domestic cats....it's currently approved for 'wild cats' but not domesticated cats....go figure?

Its not a 100% guaranty that it will work against Hookworms. I had a 1 year old dog that I had given the recommend dose as instructed. approxamently 3 weeks ago and he is currently in the process of dying. I've already been robbed by a couple of veterinarian clinics because of no definable answers because of the lack of finances from previous vet visits about the same problem. Do not rely on this to save your pets life. Prevention maybe, but not eradication.

The products appears to have worked. I mixed it in cooked hamburger meat with a little water and he licked the bowl each time. I do want to mention that you need to be aware of the packet amounts before you order so you will order enough to start the three day dosage. I ordered one package for MEDIUM dogs thinking it contained enough meds for the 3 day dosage for my 50 LB dog. Not true at all. It only contained enough for 1 day's dosage. So I had to postpone starting the medication until I had enough for the 3 consecutive days. I had to order and additional package for LARGE dogs so I would have enough medicine for all 3 dosages. Look at the very top front of the package and it will tell you how much is in the package. Of course when our dogs need this medicine we are very anxious to get the meds into them. If you don't order enough the first time, you'll end up waiting TWICE for the product to arrive so you can start the 3 consecutive day medication regiment. Good luck. Read full review

Adult parasites were dead within second dosage. I repeated the 3 package safeguard treatment a month later just to ensure no worms. I highly recommend the Safeguard name brand and will Only use this as a dewoming agent on all of my pets. It is just every bit as good as what a veterinarian would provide - but minus the high price.

This worked great for my Miniature Shnauzer! It was so great for her to get some relief from those internal pests. I will treat her again in 6 mos. It is very easy to administer. I mixed it in her yogurt and she scarfed it right down. It is the best and most complete broad spectrum product of this type that I have found. Hope this helps someone else.
