I have had terrible problems with snails eating everything they can find, so keeping nice plants in my tank was very difficult unless I didn't care if they got shredded. I got 2 of these snail traps and love them! Just put in bait about 1/2 way or a bit more in the tube, put the cap on, and put it in the tank. Check the next day and there should be severl snails after the bait. You just pull the trap out, wipe off the snails, and either put it back in the tank or rinse and reload with more bait and repeat.

Lot of guys say that this does not work and that is true if you wait till morning and the room or aquarium light come on. They key to this snail trap is to set you alarm at like 5 am and empty it out. If you don’t and it gets to be daylight the snails will move off. Snail are primarily active mostly at night so empty the trap BEFORE daylight comes. I works really well on thinning out my massive trumpet snail population. I give it two thumbs up.
