Here is one of my Yaesu FV 101 B remote VFO\'s in very clean and working condition. I finally got a FT 101 E project radio working and used that radio to power up and test the VFO. All seems to function as it should. Here is a write up I found shown below:
TheYaesu FV-101Bexternal VFO is designed to work with theFT-101E/EE/EXtransceiver. It features the same factory sealed, solid state VFO with 1 kHz readout that is found in the FT-101E. A dual VFO adapter is built into the FT-101E to accept a simple plug-in cable. The FV-101B includes a fixed channel oscillator for up to four crystal controlled channels on any band form 160 through 10 meters. It is powered from the transceiver. Frequency range: 8.7 to 9.2 MHz. Stability: 100 Hz in any 30 minute period after warm-up.210 x 153 x 285 mm and weighs 3.5 kg..
As with most vintage Yaesu\'s I\'ve seen, this one still has the protective front face plate plastic one can peel off and have a like new looking face plate. I removed the internal chassis to replace the panel lamp that was not working. Also, note in one of the photos that this one has the chassis screws still paint sealed (white paint) so that is proof the VFO has not been tampered with. There are no crystals included.
The manual will be on CD and the matching cable is included. If you have on of the FT 101 models shown above, you are ready to plug and play.
Working when it left my smoke free home. I cleaned the chassis with alcohol and simple green so may have a slight scent of that. Returns accepted with in 30 days,buyer will pay return shipping and will be reimbursed if item is defective. I reserve the right to test and inspect any returns prior to issuing refunds. Will be packed, insured and shipped FedEx ground.
