Made by American Electrical Heater Co. this American Beauty Iron was built to last.The electric ironreplaced the sad iron butthis versionwas not a lot happier, the weight was still a lot for the average housewife to bear. It weighs over 6 lb., good if you are into lifting weights.
This piece seems to be in good working condition and heats up quickly. Fabric wrapped cord is in excellent condition as is the plug end .
The wood handle painted gold has only a few chips, the bottom is smooth andmainly rust free. The lever dial moves freely and the setting goes from \'LOW\' to \'HIGH\'.
