Vintage Zenith Portable Turntable Record Player Suitcase Tweed For Sale -

Here\'s a vintage Zenith player. It is approximately 17 x 14 x 8 inches in size. A brown tweed covers the face. Plays LP\'s and 45\"s. Shows some normal wear and tear without any major flaws in the cosmetics. Everything worked to a degree as far as function. However, I think the stylist may need realigned or replaced. I thought at first the volume had a problem but then upon inadvertently pushing down on the needle while testing the unit, I found the volume jumped up. So, it will need some care before playing up to original specs. Also, the 45adapterhas been damaged on top. It looks like someone pushed it down and the stem broke through. It worked.. but, sometimes it would stall out the player before it dropped the 45. It may need oiled, replaced, adjusted... I don\'t know. The LP\'s played through the process just fine, but... the reject sequence didn\'t always turn off the unit. Sometimes it slowed way down during the process and the player stayed running.. The stylist arm does lock down on the resting post and needs to be unlocked before attempting to play a record. Just lift it up and reset it lightly. So, if your looking for a record player to play upon arrival, this may not be the one for you. It will need a little TLC. But, I think this one is in good enough condition for the avid collector to do a restoration or maybe just some minor adjustments and some routine maintenance. With all that being said... I am selling this as it is... as I have described it. Not a perfect unit. But a really nice piece for the time and era it was made.Please view the photos for style, color and condition.
