Vintage WeatherMeasure Pyranograph Pyrheliometer with charts, ink, manual:
$175.00

Here we have a rather strange looking pyranograph from WeatherMeasure, model R401 with serial #664. Very similar in function to the Belfort pyranograph. Looks to date sometime in the 80\'s. Very cool instrument to measure solar radiation (almost looks like it is meant to land on the moon)! Actually has 3 legs which can be adjusted to level unit (has bubble level as well). Very heavy and solid metal case! Used to measure efficiency of solar collectors/solar panels, climate studies, and I am sure many other uses. This one is in excellent physical and working condition. Both bimetallic strips are in great condition and the flat absorbant paint of the blackened one is still in great condition. Responds quickly to both the sun and clouds to show appropriate solar radiation levels. Comes with manual, bottle of ink, and 1 year of new weekly charts. New charts areavailable from NovaLynx who has taken over support for WeatherMeasure legacy products years ago. Clock has been cleaned, properly oiled and timed. Some very minor paint chips here and there but otherwise inpristinecondition. Borosilicate glass dome also in great condition. Nice working instrument guaranteed!

I accept all major credit cards and Paypal. Please contact me first if you wish to pay with a credit card.

Visit my store and check out other great vintage instruments built before the importing of cheap overseas quality! Providing you with quality and accurate instruments is my passion and guarantee! All of the products I sell are tested and calibrated using the highest quality calibration standards. Keep in mind that calibration does not mean turning the adjustment screw on the instrument. It involves time consuming testing in a special pressure/vacuum chamber. Adjustments are made to levers, screws, springs, etc. to insure that the instrument will read accurately at various simulated atmosphericconditions and hence the real world. If an instrument does not perform satisfactorily, I will not sell it! Thank you for looking at this listing and please email me with any questions!
