This is a highly detailed, precision static display model of the McLaren MP4/6 Honda Formula-One racer, as raced in the 1991 German Grand Prix, during the 9th round of the season.
Reproduced in 1/12 scaleOverall length 369mm, Overall width 178mm, and overall height 83mm.
Honda\'s 3.5 liter, V-12 cylinder engine is accurately rendered down to the smallest detail. The engine block, with its transmission casing, is a one piece molding using the latest in injection molding techniques. The finished engine unit is screw-mounted to the one piece molded monocoque frames.
Functional Front and Rear wishbone suspension system. The suspension arms and damper push rods are made of die-cast metal, for absolute scale effect and durability. The arms are firmly installed to the chassis using small, scale metal screws and metal brackets. A precision screwdriver is included with the kit. Operable rack and pinion steering system, where the front wheels steer according the the steering wheel movement. The body cowling is removable, allowing you to view the chassis interior and engine details after completion. Semi-pneumatic slick racing tires are fitted to one piece wheels. Inclused decals for car No.1 driven by Ayrton Senna, and car No. 2. Driven by Berhard Berger.
