Vintage Retired Boehm Ballerina Porcelain Figurine on Metal Balance Beam Damaged:
$4.99

For Sale: Boehm Porcelain Ballerina on Stand! DAMAGED.
Up for offers is a nicely done figurine of a ballerina by Boehm! This is a very nicely done figurine in bisque porcelain that standson a bronzed metal frame that appears to be a balance beam over a wooden floor. I suppose the figure could also be a gymnast of some sort. While I am not an expert, this is a detailed, solid figurine that stands about 10 inches tall and 8 inches at its widest point. While overall it is in great condition the figure is sold as-is with damage noted below.
The figurine shows the round Boehm stamp on the bottom of the dancer\'s platform.
Condition:
Very nice overall, without any cracks, chips, stains, etc., other than the damage noted. It might need a good cleaning, as there are some darker spots here and there in the white of the porcelain. The figure is very solidly attached to the base, which displays no visible defects.
The damage to the figure is quite clear when you are looking for it - the girl is missing her ponytail. This was not evident to me at first until I saw another photo of this piece. I suppose the little nub of porcelain could potentially be ground down to give the back of her head a more uniform look if desired.
Again, with the missing ponytail I am selling this figurine in as-is condition. Happy offerding!
