VINTAGE Heavy Antler? Soapstone? Resin? HUSKY / MALAMUTE Sled Dog Figurine 2.75" For Sale -

Exquisite Beautifully Detailed and Accurately Depicted Vintage ALASKAN SLED DOG Figurine in Sitting Position. Could be Siberian Husky or Malamute. I am not sure what he is made of, but he is weighty and substantial, VERY smooth, with no casting seams or marks whatsoever. In the fine details, especially around the face, he kind of looks hand carved. The bottom surface has fine ridges, which could be from a saw blade or ? The ivory / cream / off white material looks and feels like carved antler, soapstone, or alabaster - a bit like netsuke - it has that very smooth, dense, non porous, polished texture. He's heavy, but maybe not quite heavy enough for stone. It is possible that it is some kind of very high quality resin with a very nice feel to it. He is not only gorgeous to look at, he feels wonderful to the touch and fits perfectly in the palm of the hand. The workmanship on this lovely figure is exquisite, very high quality. I have never come across anything quite like this delightful little piece of art. A rare vintage piece, of amazing beauty, that is a treat for both the eyes and the hands. This piece is exceptional!

Very good gently pre-owned condition. Chip underside of left front foot and tiny chip end of tongue. Hardly noticeable. No other issues, damage, stains, or odors, from non-smoking home.
