The unusual dual 12\" COLLINS 808A-1 turntable audio console. If you\'re old enough, you may remember seeing one of these monstrous decks at dances, public events, parties or radio promotions/exhibitions... A Sparta arm/headshell is on one side. The other side has what I believe is a Micro-Trak arm, and no headshell. The VU meter lens and needle are intact. I don\'t think all the knobs are original. They all appear to turn and click normally. The yellow platter felts are OK, could stand to be replaced. There is some lifting as seen, so use some more adhesive if you do not plan to immediately replace the felt.
The motors are good. It appears each speed is true, running as intended (but no stroboscope to prove this).
This one has no bottom on the base, has typical wear and tear for something 45-50 years old. I believe some of the lamps do not work. You may need to recondition the tables and the drive wheels/pucks, etc. I believe there is a borrowed fuse and fuse cap from a different turntable device we used to power and test the decks, so you may need to provide that too.See my other sales for MORE radio, broadcast audio, and musical stuff!!
This heavy and unwieldy unit is too fragile to ship as-is. It could be disassembled professionally at a shop, or picked up in person.
