VINTAGE BETSY ROSS MINIATURE TOY SEWING MACHINE; CRANK HAND WHEEL DRIVEN; 1940\'S or \'50\'s; PREOWNED
Not electric!

• My daughter\'s Mother-in-law owned and used this as a little girl so would have been in the 1940\'s or early 1950\'s
• All the parts are movable: the foot moves up and down (pictures #8 & #9)
• The crank handle rotates and the needle corresponds by moving up and down
• The tension bolt on top rotates
• I don\'t know how to thread it so have not tested it with thread and cloth
• There is minor rust on the left side of the front plate and on the top (please view the pictures)
• This precious little machine measures approximately 8\" long (including wheel handle) x 4 1/2\" wide (base) from foot to foot x 7\" high
• Front reads \"BETSY ROSS\" \"PAT. PEND.\" \"MADE IN U.S.A.\"

As written above, the parts are movable but the handle/needle kind of \"catches\" now and then. I\'m sure this little machine could use some oil but I was reluctant to do so as don\'t want to use the wrong oil. As mentioned - it has NOT been tested with thread & fabric.
