If you have been watching my sales over the past weeks you will know I have been selling off a Very Fine and Important Chinese Art Estate Collection, I believe one of the Finest that has ever been offered on . This week I am offering some Fine and Interesting Scholar’s Objects, along with a Top Quality Collection of Very Fine Antique Chinese Jewellery items. As I have been instructed by the Estate of the deceased collector that the collection is to be sold with S, as all my sales have run for Over 12 Years saleing Online! I was told the collector paid some Substantial amounts for some of the pieces listed many years ago, but regardless of that the items will be sold to the high buyer for whatever the high offer amount may be, with No Exceptions. It has been a Real Privilege of mine to be able to handle so many Amazing Museum Quality examples, and I hope you find the collection as interesting as I have.

Description

Up for sale is a Very Fine and Rare 1840 Chinese Carved Ox Bone Figural Scenic Calling Card Case. The Case is Intricately carved all around with Interesting Imperial Figural Scenic designs. The Case has its original lid, which open and closes perfectly. As you can see the case has some staining of some kind? I have not tried to clean it myself, I never like to touch any such antique items and like to sell pieces exactly as I get them from the estate. I am sure with the right cleaner it could possibly be cleaned or restored, but I am really not sure? The Case is otherwise is very fine original condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The Case measures 3 ¾ inches tall, by 2 ¼ inches wide, and is also one of the thinnest carved examples I have ever seen measuring only ¼ inch thick.
