Technics SL-1950 Direct Drive Automatic Turntable Record Player Vintage:
$332.72

This Rare, Vintage Technics Direct Drive Automatic turntable model SL-1950 has been remarkably cared for and in very very very good condition. Every part of this unit is intact and in perfect working condition. Sounds incredible. It has not been used for the past 20 years and has been preserved in an enclosed cabinet which is important for you to know that because of excess dust/dirt that the unit was not exposed too. We are moving and that is why it is up for sale. We tried it and it does work!

The plastic top is very clear though it does have just a few of the typical light scratches common to turntables of this vintage. The hinges hold the lid up with no problem, another rarity.

This turntable has the famous Technics Direct Drive system which is exceptionally quiet. There is no audible rumble or noise common with idler wheel turntables. For audiophiles in this vinyl rebirth era, the Direct Drive system is prefect for 180 Gram vinyl and modern headphones or home audio. Also since it\'s direct drive there is no belt to wear out or to replace. The speed for both 45 and 33 is adjustable plus or minus 6%. Speed is rock solid and accurate. This means changing parts is unnecessary and upkeep will be simple.

Spindles for 45s are included. This is VERY RARE. This model is automatic. You put the record on the turntable, move the lever to start and the arm will go to the record and play it. At the end of the record the arm will go back and the turntable shuts off. Again, for those seeking perfect sound and mint vinyl, the arm lift is vital as you do not need to raise/lower the needle, making contact with and possibly scratching records.

This turntable has been set up and is ready to plug and play!!

You just connect it to your home stereo system\'s phono input and you are ready to play records. This turntable plays at 33 and 45rpm. A TC250EP Audio-Technica cartridge and stylus are included and come properly mounted on the Technics headshell. It is heavy and well built, not like the turntables found at Target or Best Buy. If you are getting into vinyl, or back into vinyl, this vintage Technics turntable is the way to go for quality sound and an attractive looking machine. A copy of the owner\'s manual is not included, but easily downloadable online.
