The TW70-OP has Tanglewood\'s Open Pore finish that lets the grain be seen and felt, while also allowing the wood to resonate freely. The OP finish is very thin, but not at all patchy and has a great organic quality that feels like a natural extension of the player\'s hands. There\'s none of that sticky feeling that you find with glossy finishes. The TW70-OP is an \"Orchestra\" sized instrument so it is a great choice as your songwriting companion or as a vocalists accompanist. This guitar responds well to a fingerpicker\'s lighter touch, and is very sensitive to the performer\'s dynamics.

Like many expensive alternatives, this guitar is constructed with a solid Sitka Spruce top. The spruce is mated with another proven tonewood, African mahogany.
