Nice Systron Donner MDL#6244A (S/N# 19026-9) Option 10 (High Stability Ovenized time base) FrequencyCounter. This frequency counter coversthe frequency range of 20Hz to 4.5GHz in 3 bands. Band 1 is accessed through a BNC (F)connector on the front panel and covers 20Hz – 100 MHz with a 1-MEGOHM inputimpedance, Band 2 is accessed through a BNC (F) connector on the front paneland covers 100 MHz – 512 MHz with a 50-Ohm input impedance, Band 3 is accessedthrough a Type “N” (F) connector on the front panel and covers 500 MHz – 4.5GHzwith 50-Ohm input impedance. This counterfeatures 0.1Hz through 1 KHz switch selectable frequency resolution. This unithas the desirable LED display. Also thiscounter has the optional high stability Ovenized time base (option 10). TheSystron Donner 6244A frequency counter is maintainable and is beautifullyconstructed with the finest components available at its time of manufacture. We used a frequencysynthesizer to test this unit in a GO-NO-GO manner for functionality (THEFREQUENCY SYNTHESIZER AND ANY CABLES / ADAPTERS ARE NOT INCLUDED – THEY JUSTAPPEARS FOR DEMO OF THIS ITEM). The counterdisplays the frequencies that were set on the synthesizer for Band 1 thatcovers 20Hz to 100MHz and DID appear to function properly, and Band 2, the 100MHz to512MHz range also appeared to function correctly.Band 3 DID NOT appear to be functional. Due to fact that the 500MHz to4.5GHz (Input # 3) does NOT work, this counter appears to need repairs and / oradjustment. Therefore, we will sell itfor PARTS or REPAIRS per protocol. I have a Band 3 sampler (front end)module that we removed from a defunct 6244A counter in the past. I am including it as a spare part (see thelast 2 pictures) I do NOT know if it is functional or if this is the problemwith Band 3 on the frequency counter being offered in this sale.
