This is an amazing Yamaha PX-2 linear tracking record player made in Japan.
The table was bought from the original owner with little hours on it.
The turntable is in great condition, with just a few of light scratches, as you can see from the pictures. They can be easily buffed out. No cracks.
This turntable plays incredibly. No sign of abuse.
I checked the turntable operation and settings as for service manual and I mounted a spare brand new vintage cartridge. The arm was balanced and aligned and so was the new cart.
The additional counterweights are still present.I did perform the adjustment of phonomotor sync and now it goes from 0 to 33rpm in about 1 second
The tonearm angle was adjusted and the position detecting checked
The end of groove lifting feature was checked for proper functionality
