You are looking at the Shun TX0706 Hana Chef knife. This knive was a limited addition in 2015 and award Knife of the Year at the Blade Show that same year. This stunningly beautiful knife represents Shun\'s next iteration of our Dual Core technology. With a dramatic new forged blade pattern and an extraordinary tagayasan (“iron sword wood”) handle, this Limited Edition knife takes Shun’s beauty and performance to the next level.From Shun\'s WebsiteHana\'s Damascus blade is made from two premium-quality, high-carbon stainless steels. Seventy-one alternating micro layers of high carbon, high chromium VG10 and VG2 stainless steels are roll-forged to produce a finer grain in the steel and to give it both strength and beauty. The laminated steel is then hot forged to enable Shun to create the gorgeous raying pattern across the blade. Because this is not cladded construction, all 71 layers of this premium steel go all the way to the edge of the blade. During normal use, the two steels will wear at slightly different rates creating micro serrations along the edge so that Hana’s extremely sharp edge feels sharper longer.

Hana\'s thin, light, and strong blade is paired with a genuine tagayasan wood handle. In Japan, tagayasan is also known as \"iron sword wood\" for it\'s denseness, hardness, and durability. Shun adds CNC-lathed PakkaWood accents, in a traditional style, as well as a mirror-polished stainless steel endcap for both beauty and balance.

In the event that there is a problem with your order or product, please contact us first so we can attempt to resolve the issue before leaving negative or neutral the item you have ordered is defective, contact us within the 14-day return period and we will replace the defective item for you, unless the original warranty supersedes our 14day return period. In the event that a suitable replacement is not available, a refund will be issued in the form of the original payment method or a company check.

• Returned items must not have any signs of abuse or intentional damage. We carefully inspect returned items before issuing refunds, credits, or exchanges. No returns will be accepted if the original packaging is damaged and/or missing accessories.

If the entire combo or bundle is not returned when seeking a refund, the refund will be discounted based on the cost of the items not returned.
