STAN GOLDBERG (b. 1933) began his comic book career as a staff colorist for Timely in 1949 ultimately becoming the color department manager for Marvel Comics. He was the color designer for all of the classic Marvel super heroes and villains of the 1960s, including Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four, The X-Men, and The Hulk. It was his illustration work for the Millie the Model titles as part of the Stan Lee and Stan "G" team, however, that really introduced him to the comic book fans. In the late 1960s Stan Goldberg began working on the teen titles for DC Comics and most of the the Archie titles. Today he continues to illustrate the Archie and Betty comic books.

This is the original cover art for Millie the Model #165, published in 1968. The finished cover is a photostat, but the original artwork is underneath; the piece as a whole is in very good condition and has an image area of 10" x 15".
