Robin is a fictional character created by the artist, Bob Kane and writers, Bill Finger and Jerry Robinson. A comic book superhero sidekick, Robin first appeared in Detective Comics #38 in April, 1940, and since then has appeared in many alternate versions of Robin in DC Comics' publications. Robin's brightly colored visual appearance and youthful energy have served as a contrast to Batman's dark look and manner.
