Rick Ayotte Limited Edition Magnum Pink COCKATOO & ORCHID Art Glass Paperweight

Description

Truly exceptional museum quality large paperweight by reknown American paperweight master Rick Ayotte. He is especially well known for his earlier paperweights featuring painstakingly accurate birds in naturalistic habitats. This example dating to 1987 features a bird/pink cockatoo with yellow tail in its natural habitat with orchids. The detail in the bird feathers and the branch and orchid roots is simply amazing.

SIZE: About 3 3/4\" in diameter and about 2 1/4\" tall.

MARKS: On side of glass dome toward the bottom ~ Ayotte Ed/50 \'87.

CONDITION: Pre-owned. The only flaw I can find is a very small light surface scratch or scuff less than 1/2\" long near the bottom to the left of the signature. Very difficult to find with the naked eye. Otherwise, no problems.
