Realistic DX-300 Shortwave Radio Ham Receiver 10kHz-30MHz - Working For Sale -

This is a Vintage Realistic DX-300! Once you plug in a shortwave antenna, itcomes to life! All knobs, meter,switches and lights/LEDs work! Thisradio is 38 yrs old and I am very impressed what it picks up with its finetuning, clarity and its sensitivity compared to my other high end DXradios. 0.001 to 30 Mhz coverage. It hasscratches on the top of the bezel and missing quick tuning pin on main knob.(see pic). I opened the case and theback plastic panel is broke from chassis but it’s secured to the radio housing.Still a solid feeling. I did not test jacks, battery and DC power for the car. The feetare upgraded metal, adjustable feet. Front panel is very clean, it operates asintended!

Back-story - someone owned me money for work Iperformed and this is what he had to show for it. I enjoy electronics so I usedit for a few months. I listened to local AM radio, Cuba, Mexico, Ham & CB operatorson an inverted V antenna. Other owners of this radio say it works best after 30minutes of warming up and after sunset. (per YouTube) He said his dad, a VietnamNavy electrician gave it to him before he passed. The born on date is October 1978. I’m going to miss this radio but I need torecoup lost income.
