Rare European First Anniversary Euro 1 Kilo Silver Proof Coin w/Gold ~ Only 500 For Sale -

Thisgorgeous 1 kilo pure sterling silver Proof coin was minted by Monnaie de Paris in 2003 to commemorate the First Anniversary of the Euro! This is a beautifully designed coin - extremely attractive on both sides. The front features Europa, the woman after whom Europe was named, and the reverse side features a stylized design naming the nations that adopted the Euro currency, and the monetary denomination of 50 Euros. (To my knowledge, this is the only kilo coin ever issued which was denominated in euros.) This is the special version of the coin that features selective gold plating. Picturesdon\'t do it justice.
