Please read ALLterms and conditions BEFORE offerding
This is a rare coin op mutoscopemachine. The mechanism appeasrs to be complete and does turn when turning the handle/crank that is pictured in front of the outside of the case. It does not have a mutoscope reel and missing the marquee. It does have the lens in the viewer. What is neat is that it has the last tax stamp on the back of the case. It looks like this was used until the mid 1960's in some amusement park in South Carolina. Please note from pictures that both locks have been replaced but keys are included. The replaced lock is binding on the side and it also has a ripple in the metal around the lock that will need to be straightened. This is shown in one of the pictures. All parts should be available to restore this machine without much trouble. There are several people making reproduction reels as well as them showing upon . Please look at all the pictures and ask any questions prior to offerding. I will do my best to answer the questions, but I am not familiar with these types of machines.
This item is heavy weighing 40lbs plus with packing.

1. Does this currently have a power cord attached and have you plugged it in to see what happens?
It has couple inches of a power cord and no plug. It has been cut. This probably was when it was taken out of service. It also has exposed copper conductors where the insulation has cracked/deteriorated. I have added an extra picture of this.
2. Also, is the interior light by a bulb, can't see in photos if yes, does it work and by what power source power cord or battery?
It has two lights. They are wired from the cut power cord. One is a small pilot light that is probably on all the time so you can view the movie title. The larger one probably comes on when you watch the movie. This is an assumption on my part. I have added extra pictures to clarify.
3. Next, does the coin mechanism work? More specifically, does the reel holder spin - activate only after the mechanism receives the coin?
Coin gets stuck in bottom of shoot before it goes into coin box where large cam is located. I can not tell what is going on with the mechanism without removing the whole mechanism from the case. Part of the coin mechanism is not accessible from open side. The grease is dried out and there is surface rust on parts of the mechanism. It probably just needs a good cleaning and cabinet restoration but, I do not know that as a fact. I have added extra pictures to help you determine that.
4. Lastly, is the lens clear or is the view obstructed due to many scratches and is the viewer and lens free of an cracks, blemishes, etc.
The lens is clear but, it is dirty. I have added a closer picture. It does appear to have a few very minor scratches. If I was restoring the machine, I would have the lens professionally polished. The cast iron viewer does not have any cracks that I can see. It does have several coats of paint on it so, I won't guarantee anything regarding that. What I am saying is that a hairline crack could be under the layers of paint. However, I doubt that.
Please remember this machine is for restoration. It will need the case stripped and everything cleaned, repainted, and lubricated. I hope this answers any questions. If you are not sure about this machine, please don't offer.
