Rare! Antique 19thC *Brown & Sharpe* Watch Watchman's Time Clock *NR*

……. If you are a collector or dealer in antique clocks then you probably already know that the Brown & Sharpe Manufacturing Company, which was known for Precision Tools, once made Clocks. They are very rare and most of their Clocks had to do with factories or businesses, and were not “Home Models.” Tonight, and over the next few weeks, I will be listing not one, but three, original Antique Brown & Sharpe “Watch Clocks”. All three of these clocks are in very good, all original condition and are fresh to the market. Each sale will be listed with and come with a 100% unconditional money-back guarantee as to the age, quality, condition and authenticity. Also, if you scan down below you will find details about a possible free delivery!

……The clock we are listing tonight measures, at the top molding, 7 ¾” by 19 ¼” and the overall height is 48” tall. It looks like it is constructed from solid Cherry wood and the paneled door has a reverse painted glass tablet around the face. The works are complete and the pendulum and two weights are original. I guarantee that the clock is in working condition and may only need a cleaning or a slight adjustment to keep perfect time again. The only problems with this Brown & Sharpe Watch Clock are flaking to the paint on the reverse glass tablet and three of the small movable pins are missing from around the clock-face. Down below, you will find a description of this Watch Clock that we found on the internet. It explains how this Watchman’s Clock originally worked.

…..There is on this Rare Brown & Sharpe Watch Clock and I guarantee that the high buyer will be more than satisfied with its quality, condition and age.

…..I will be listing two more examples of this clock, over the next two weeks, which are also in very good condition and will also be listed without any reserve!

…… As always, we give a 100% unconditional money back guarantee as to its quality, condition and age, or we will return all of the high buyer’s money.

“These clocks are described in a Brown & Sharpe catalog dated March 1, 1877: "The Watch Clock is to be used in Banks, Manufactories, Railroad Station Buildings, Lumber yards, and other places, where a watchman is employed, and serves to show whether he is attentive to his duty.
"The clock has a time dial, independent of the pin circle, which may be used as a standard timepiece for the whole establishment.
"From the pulls at the top of the clock, wires are lead off to the different rooms in the building where the watchman is required to visit. Every half hour the wires in all these rooms are required to be pulled in order to draw back the pin, which, by the motion of the pin circle about the dial, presents itself at that time directly over XII." (Grant MaClaren) “

2012 UPS & USPS PRICE INCREASES

It has recently come to our attention that the shipping costs that the calculator has been providing for our buyers have been higher than normal. We have not changed our shipping department in any way. We strive to make sure that our customers pay close to exact costs as possible. When items are packed and exact costs are figured for the label, any excess costs paid will be refunded. At the beginning of 2012 the shipping cost for UPS Ground increased 4.9% and 4.6% for the Post Office. The shipping calculator pulls its figures directly from UPS and USPS and, unfortunately, these price increases are out of our hands.

As always, we strive for 100% satisfaction and do our best to provide our customers with the best service possible. We encourage you to email or call us with any questions or concerns you may have regarding shipping.

About Us:

Rhode Island Internet Consignment & Sales is our Family-run Business in Lincoln RI. Bill Wolstenholme has been a New England Antique Picker for almost 50 years and has a true passion and love for Antiques. We began listing on almost 14 years ago, and have increased in size with each new year. The entire family, as well as a few close friends, are involved in our business.

...... Bill, is "The Boss." He does most of the buying, as well as receiving most of the consignment. He lists the majority of sales and takes photographs. His passion is what fuels this business and he loves his job, even though he works about 80 hrs a week! He is a true work-a-holic!

..... Lindsey, Bill's second oldest daughter, is "Sergeant-at-Arms." Lindsey goes to two sales a week to buy items. She also is the head photographer and she lists sales as well.

... Lisa, or Yaya, is Bill's youngest daughter, and she is the "Jack-of-all-Trades." She does anything from answering the phone to solving problems as well as photographing and listing sales.

... The second Lisa working here, who we call “Big Lisa,” work's full-time answering the many, never-ending, E-mails and Shipping quotes. This is a tedious job, but someone's gotta do it!

... Up next is our full-time "Gopher", Richard. He is Lindsey's husband and is a huge help! He drives the truck to storage and pack & ship as well as running miscellaneous errands. He also helps out around the office wherever he is needed from cleaning & fixing items, as well as cleaning the office itself!

... Kyle, or as we call him "the Professor" is our full-time packer who takes great care in making sure each item is properly and safely packed so that it arrives safe and sound at its new home!

... Darlene is our book-keeper who keeps the financial side of the business organized. She is also in charge of the Consignment accounts including entering new items and cutting Consignment checks.

.....The newest members of our team are Sarah, Big Lisa's Daughter and Devin, Darlene's Son. Sarah helps out around the office filing paperwork and printing shipping labels and Devin is in training to become our full-time Photographer. They help take time off of all of Our hands so we can list more sales.

... Finally, but certainly not least, is Wendy. The Matriarch of the family, Wendy or as the kids call her, "Gida" keeps us all happy! She watches the grandchildren while we work, makes sure we are all fed and happy and has total control over all of the Money that goes in and out of the business!

...... Together, our Family Team is a close-knit Tribe and we wouldn't be able to run this company without each and every Member!
