Seward; Lincoln's 1865 inaugural address, and two quotes from Johnson, one from the US Senate in 1861, the other, "I have no principles to retract" April 18, 1865, three days after Lincoln's death. The print this is based on was published by "Derby and Jackson" in 1865 – in carte CDV format, this is exceptionally scarce. Published for those mourning the martyred President in Europe, imprint by "J.K. Wagner, Cornwall, C.W.".Typical foxing with minor staining, as shown, else excellent condition.
