Rare early albumen photograph pasted onto card and signed on the mount in black ink by Queen Victoria (24 May 1819 – 22 January 1901). Photographed seated at a table with her pet dachshund 'Dacko' at her feet. It is housed in a contemporary metal frame. She was Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 20 June 1837 until her death. From 1 May 1876, she had the additional title of Empress of India. "Victoria R ap: 1865"The photograph is annotated on the reverse in another hand possibly indicating that the recipient received it on that date "16th May 1868".Size with frame: 14 x 16 cm approx
