The pottery pieces with their unique and characteristic patterns, are a true mirror of the rural life and tradition of San Pedro do Corval. The pieces of this zone are imposed naturally by the beauty of its composition and its unique decorative effect.

It was in the largest pottery center in the country that Olaria Carrilho Lopes appeared. The 21 of March of 1970, in San Pedro do Corval once called Aldeia do Mato, that belongs to the county of Reguengos de Monsaraz. Agostinho Gens Lopes Cachaço constitutes, in an individual name, the pottery that today is managed by his son, Antonio Carrilho Lopes.
The tradition oleira in the family is secular, going back to the time Francisco Lopes Cachaço, father of the founder and grandfather of the current manager.
