PHILMORE MFG. CO. 1932CATHEDRAL STYLE SELECTIVE MODEL CRYSTAL RADIO SET.

This is a Philmore Mfg. Co. CrystalRadio Set. This design changed to a Cathedral Style from a slant front designwas implemented in 1932. During this time the company saw Crystal Set Salesdeclining due to the popularity of tube radios. To stay competitive they alsostarted making radios in a slightly large cathedral case in 1, 2, and 3 tubeversions.

This example is in EXTREMELY GOODCONDITION right down to its PAPER LABEL on the bottom. I have gone through allof its wiring circuits to verify their connectivity. I have further hooked itup and it plays quite well with good sensitivity and selectivity for a crystalset.

The Metal Body is a Black Crinkle Finishwith the Front Panel having a Gold Marble Decor. Case Measures 6” wide X 5”deepX 7”high.
