Shown here is a genuine First Day Postal Cover for the Persian Cat and American Shorthair Cat Stamp cancelled from the city of issue (New York City) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features drawings of both cats in full-color...regal Persian and the common American Shorthair. This company has also printed a short commentary on the back of the envelope for each cat. We have a made a copy for you.
