Planer was disassembled; all the old paint and filler removed then repainted using two component primers and painted with DuPont Imron. The feed rolls and chip breakers were cleaned bead blasted and polished. New bearings were installed for the cutter head. New chip breaker springs were installed. The reeves variable speed drive was serviced and a new belt installed. Everything was inspected and properly adjusted to factory settings. The gear and feed cavity’s were cleaned and refilled with new top quality Mobil oil.
Lastly new cutter head knifes were installed and set. All it need’s is a cord and plug and it is ready to go. If desired I will install accord and plug to meet the requirements of your shop for the cost of materials.
Please note that in the photos the machine looks blue do to shop lighting but it is painted the correct Oliver Green.

Rebuilt Oliver 299-D Planer Offered for sale is a very nice Rebuilt Oliver 299-D that came out of storage from a closed classroom and never used for production. Mechanically it was in remarkable condition showing little use. The chain feed sprockets still has the black oxide coatings on the wear points. On this era of Oliver planers the chains and feed systems are enclosed and run in an oil filled cavity that gives them a long service life.
