ORIGINAL NEAR MINT MECHANIZED SPACE ROBOT TIN WITH ORIGINAL BOX 1950’S JAPAN TN CO, BATTERY OPERATED

This sale is for an original near mint Mechanized Space Robot, battery operated tin toy made in the 1950’s by Nomura / Showa made in Japan. This toy comes complete with the original box! This is an excellent example of the real Robby in great condition. This Robby is the first version with the brass round battery knobs. This robot has a very brilliant sheen to the black paint, and both battery compartments (on each leg) are very clean. This toy was rug tested on 4-7-2012 and is even more fun than I expected to watch – WORKS! When activated both antennas on the head spin, the pistons in the face go up and down with tremendous speed and precision as it lights up and glows! His legs move him along and his green mouth piece lights up. He walks straight for awhile then he starts his turn and walks back to about where he started! His feet and wheels are so clean, it appears he has never been used. Both hands are perfect, he has some wear on the red paint on his left hand, light minor scratches but is about as MINT as they come! The face dome for this toy is made of plastic and is about as good as they come. The small back tab on the dome has been reglued - you do not even see it - not visable!

This space robot is an amazing addition for any robot, space, battery op., tin toy collector. This robot is not only fun to play with but is simply a perfect addition to any display case.

Box –

The box is highly stylized with the Robby Robot standing on a planet with a moon and 15 stars as he sends a signal out to space. There is a light crease line that runs from the top left corner to the bottom, but does not impact the integrity of the box. The box has very light wear, expected and normal considering the age of this toy and it was manufactured for children.
