Nice 1853 US Large Cent Counterstamped C.C. Mooney - Alton, NH Shoe Merchant? For Sale - New and Used

Super countermarked large cent! I found the merchant name listed on the online Brunk index. When I researched it further I found a potential source for the stamp with a New Hampshire shoe merchant: Charles Clark Mooney. The scan above is from the 1869 book: "Webb's New England Railway and Manufacturers' Statistical Gazetteer Containing an Interesting Sketch of Every Station, Village and City on Each Railroad in New England, ..."Per Ancestry.com records this Charles Clark Mooney was born about 1815 and died about 1909.This is just educated speculation on my part and I do not know for certain if my research is correct.The coin pictured is the coin you will receive.
